Answers to Frequently Asked Questions
How Does the Merging of the Parishes Impact My Giving to the Church?
On July 1, 2022, our three parishes (Assumption, Sacred Heart, St. John Neumann) will officially merge into a new parish, and legal entity, known as Regina Coeli Parish. Please see our website for the official decree from Bishop Zubik announcing the merger.
All parishioners who use envelopes will continue to receive envelopes.
Two of our parishes used Our Sunday Visitor for monthly envelopes, so they have been chosen to provide envelopes for Regina Coeli Parish. You should receive your first packet of envelopes soon if you have not already. Please note that everyone will have a new envelope number. Also we ask that you please write all checks to "Regina Coeli Parish"
All parishioners who use Faith Direct will not have to do anything, your current contributions and account information will be automatically moved to our Regina Coeli Faith Direct account on July 1st. You can still access your account and make changes as normal.
Until we receive our official IRS notification of Regina Coeli parish (a process that can take months) Faith Direct is not able to use our new parish name. Our parish’s Faith Direct account will appear as “St. John Neumann Church (DBA Regina Coeli)” DBA stands for “Doing Business As.” Once we have IRS documentation the name will appear as “Regina Coeli Parish.”
All donations received via Faith Direct will go towards Regina Coeli Parish, not just one of the churches.
New to some envelope and Faith Direct users, will be our Maintenance Fund. Two of our churches used this fund in the past. There is an envelope in your monthly packets which can be dropped in any of the collection baskets, the fund also appears as an option on Faith Direct as well. This fund helps support the upkeep costs of all of our church buildings and properties.
As a new parish, all offertory and maintenance fund donations go to the operating and maintenance costs of our new parish, to help keep our Liturgies, ministries and events running at all three church sites. Our new parish has only one bank account and all donations and expenses come from that.
July 1st will be a new chapter in the history of our three great churches, but through your support we will continue to grow as we have in the last two years. We will continue to be able to provide you all the ministries and events we have now and add more. We look forward to many great things to come for Regina Coeli Parish, but nothing is possible without you and your generous support of our parish. We truly appreciate your continued support.
